Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division Harbor Light Center in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for participants and staff in a commercial kitchen and assist with meal planning. Responsibilities

• Cook, prepare, and store a variety of food using standardized safe food handling guidelines and meeting health code.
• Meet special dietary needs of participants as directed (55%).
• Provide meal service (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in an inviting manner to participants and staff (15%).
• Clean and sanitize food service utensils, dishes, cookware, serveware, equipment, and areas (10%).
• Assist with meal planning utilizing ordered and donated food items, minimizing food waste (10%).
• Assist with meal preparation and cooking for special events and meetings (10%).
