Job summary

SFC Seattle Eastside LLC, doing business as Sticky Fingers Cooking®, seeks part-time Chef Instructors in Issaquah to bring engaging, hands-on cooking experiences to children. Instructors teach 60-minute classes at various locations, benefitting from paid training, a supportive team, and flexible scheduling.

No prior professional cooking experience required, but a love of kids and food is essential. You will join a fun team delivering kid-tested recipes, manage groups of 8-14 children, and help

Qualifications

• Availability at least 2 days a week (Mon-Fri, 2-5pm).
• Commitment to teaching full sessions (4-12 weeks).
• Washington Food Worker Card (can obtain before teaching).
• Ability to manage and engage a group of 8-14 children with diverse backgrounds and academic levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead hour-long healthy, engaging cooking enrichment classes on-site at various locations.
• Review weekly curricula and prepare for instruction, including shopping for fresh ingredients.
• Teach basic kitchen skills, nutrition, safety, and the history, geography, and language behind each recipe.
• Foster a fun, safe learning environment and encourage kids to develop healthy food habits.
