Job summary

SFC Seattle Eastside LLC dba Sticky Fingers Cooking® is hiring part-time Chef Instructors in Seattle to cultivate culinary curiosity in kids. On-site, multiple locations, hours 2–5pm, Monday–Friday. Training provided; background check and food worker card required.

Responsibilities include leading hour-long cooking classes for 3–18 year-olds, reviewing curricula, shopping for ingredients, and teaching basic kitchen skills while promoting healthy eating and hands-on learning.

Qualifications

• Availability at least 2 days a week (Mon–Fri, 2–5pm).
• Commitment to teaching full sessions (4–12 weeks).
• Washington Food Worker Card (can obtain before teaching).
• Ability to pass fingerprint background check on hire.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate with our team in a timely manner.
• Punctual and reliable.
• No professional cooking experience required.
• Experience working with kids of varying ages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead hour-long healthy and engaging cooking enrichment classes for students on-site at different locations.
• Review weekly class curricula and prepare instruction for each session, including shopping for fresh ingredients.
• Teach basic kitchen skills (washing, cutting, grating, stirring, measuring) and nutrition, safety, and recipe history.
• Inspire kids to develop healthy food habits and culinary curiosity over time.
