Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking a part-time Chef Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on cooking classes for kids on Mercer Island. You’ll present kid-tested recipes, guide 8–14 children per session, and collaborate with staff each week to ensure safe, enjoyable learning experiences.

You will review curricula, shop for ingredients, and teach core kitchen skills alongside the team, promoting healthy eating habits and culinary curiosity in young learners.

Formación

• Availability at least 2 days a week (Mon–Fri, 2–5pm).
• Commitment to teaching full sessions (4–12 weeks).
• Washington Food Worker Card (can obtain before teaching).
• Ability to manage and engage 8–14 children with diverse backgrounds.
• Fingerprint background check is required upon hire.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate with our team in a timely manner.
• Punctual and reliable.
• No professional cooking experience required.
• Experience working with kids is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead hour-long healthy cooking enrichment classes for children on-site at locations in your area.
• Review weekly curricula and shop for fresh ingredients to prepare for instruction.
• Teach basic kitchen skills: washing, cutting, grating, stirring, measuring, nutrition, safety.
• Share the history, geography, and language behind each recipe to engage students.
