Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in janitorial work desired.
• Ability to accept supervision and instruction.
• Demonstrate ability to perform independently.
• Possess a positive attitude, and work well with others.
• Valid Driver's License. (Must meet state guidelines and insurance requirements.)
• Must pass Salvation Army background checks and meet MVR qualifications.
• Safe From Harm training must be completed within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of building and grounds as described.
• Clean kitchen, dining room, restrooms and common areas daily.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop floors and sanitize surfaces regularly.
• Report safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
• Keep janitorial supplies in good order and notify when running low.
• Shovel snow from sidewalks as necessary and perform heavy cleaning when needed.
• Maintain Corps vehicles in a clean and tidy manner.
