Job summary

The Salvation Army Minneapolis Corps is seeking a regular part-time Janitor to maintain cleanliness of building and grounds. The role is temporary, with a workweek around 25 hours and a pay range of $16.37 to $19 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial work is desired.
• Ability to accept supervision and instruction.
• Demonstrate ability to perform independently.
• Possess a positive attitude and work well with others.
• Valid Driver's License (must meet state guidelines).
• Must pass Salvation Army background checks.
• Safe From Harm training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive relations with coworkers and supervisors.
• Support The Salvation Army mission by treating donors, staff and colleagues with respect.
• Engage community members in Corps programming and events.
• Clean kitchen and dining area daily; deep clean as instructed.
• Clean floors, carpets, glass, wood, and stainless surfaces daily.
• Sanitize restrooms and refill dispensers.
• Prepare rooms for Corps programs; organize supplies.
• Shovel snow and perform heavy cleaning as needed.
• Report safety hazards to supervisors.
