Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory in Minneapolis, MN invites applications for a part-time Janitor. This temporary role offers 25 hours per week with an hourly wage of $16.37 to $19.00. The position is intended to fill in for current staff and supports building and grounds upkeep.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED (preferred) and janitorial experience. A valid driver's license is required, and the role includes background checks and Safe From Harm training within 30 days

Qualifications

• Janitorial experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Must pass The Salvation Army background checks and meet MVR driver’s qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive work atmosphere by fostering good relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
• Support the Mission by treating donors, contacts, and colleagues with respect and dignity.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, dining areas, and offices daily.
• Shovel snow from sidewalks and perform heavy cleaning as needed.
• Inform the office in writing when supplies are low and keep janitor’s room orderly.
