Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting Part-Time Faculty to teach courses in networking, IT essentials, java, SQL, and C# for the Department of Computer Science and Technology in Reno, NV. The college welcomes qualified applicants for temporary, part-time teaching assignments and offers in-person, online, or hybrid delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• The desire to work with students, faculty, and staff from many different backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach course content; assess student learning; stay current in teaching field; actively refer students to supportive college resources; complete professional development; use current technology; maintain standards of ethics and professional conduct.
• Part-Time Faculty in the Computer Information Technology program can teach a variety of courses based on staffing and program needs.
• Examples include: CIT 130 - Beginning Java Programming; CIT 148 - Beginning Python Programming; CIT 152 - Web Script Language Programming.
