Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of Part-Time Faculty to teach machining, CNC, milling and turning courses in‑person, online or hybrid. Under the supervision of the Department Chair, instructors deliver content, assess learning and stay current in their field.

Teach a variety of machining courses based on staffing and program needs; opportunities may include MT T 230, MT T 261 and MT T 101, with alignment to the catalog.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent or a level of credentialing/ mastery commensurate with the position description.
• The desire to work with students, faculty, and staff from many different backgrounds.
• We can help new teachers with Orientation and professional development workshops; we value varied experience from working professionals to retirees.

Responsibilities

• Teach course content; assess student learning; stay current in teaching field; actively refer students to supportive college resources; complete professional development; use current technology; maintain ethics and professional conduct.
• Teach a variety of machining courses (MTT 230, MTT 261, MTT 101) based on staffing and program needs.
