Job summary

Finger Lakes Community College seeks an IT A/V Services Technician to support IT operations, classroom technology, and event tech needs across campus. The role includes direct user support, training instructors, and contributing to documentation.

The position is part-time, with responsibilities expanding to special events and after-hours support as needed. Prior experience with classroom tech and A/V equipment is preferred; an Associate's Degree is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's Degree.
• Experience with classroom technology and applications is highly desirable.
• Experience with presentation software and A/V equipment, and supporting and/or training instructors and staff, as well as creation of documentation, is also desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the functionality of instructional technology operations in labs and classrooms.
• Assists with faculty software needs, installations, compatibility, and licenses.
• Plans, installs, and maintains instructional technology systems across campus.
• Provides helpdesk coverage and direct user support to employees and students.
• Provides user training and one-on-one consultation as needed.
• Supports special events and presentations with audio/visual tech.
• Offers after-hours instructional services and event support for FLCC events.
• Participates in deployment of new hardware and software upgrades.
• Trains, supervises, and directs student aides.
• Assists in creating IT user documentation and inventory management.
