Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensuring items are received accurately and stocked on the floor.

You will walk the store daily to scan items, identify stock issues, and work with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk to maintain inventory integrity. You will also monitor donations, manage grocery and non-perishable inventories, and keep the backroom secure, clean,

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in retail or grocery.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel.
• Attention to damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and processing returns.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain backroom security and order.
• Ability to make independent decisions and resolve inventory delivery issues.
• Effective communication with vendors, drivers, store management, and associates.
• Physical ability to lift 5–50 lbs, push/pull 10–50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
• Customer service orientation and commitment to store readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee DSD operations to ensure accurate receiving and stocking.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify stock conditions.
• Collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and File Maintenance Clerk.
• Communicate with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotions.
