Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. in Berkeley is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensure merchandise is received, counted, and stocked.

You’ll walk the floor to scan items, identify stock issues, and collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk. You’ll monitor donations, manage grocery and non-perishable inventories, and maintain a secure, clean backroom.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in retail/grocery.
• Detail-oriented with ability to monitor damaged/expired merchandise.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks including email and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure merchandise is received, counted, and stocked.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions.
• Coordinate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk.
• Communicate with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non-perishable inventories.
• Maintain a secure, clean, and organized backroom environment.
