Part‑Time Instructor Pool – Art 2‑D

Salary: $82.33 - $115.20 hourly

Responsibilities

Provide quality instruction, create and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages open discussion of ideas, interests and issues. Primary duties of part‑time faculty members are related to curriculum and instruction; the assignment is divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Part‑time instructional faculty are required to be available to students outside of class.

Compensation

The starting credit part‑time faculty rate from salary table 11 is $102.90 per hour for lecture and $82.33 per hour for lab. If you hold a doctorate, the rate is $107.87 per hour for lecture and $86.30 per hour for lab.

Education and Experience

• Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history
• or Bachelor’s in any of the above
• and Master’s in humanities
• or a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of the above; candidates applying by equivalency must submit an Application for Equivalency.

Evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community‑college students, faculty, and staff is required.
