Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction in lecture and lab courses.
• Create and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages discussion of ideas, interests, and issues.
• Make yourself available to students outside of class.
• Assist with curriculum development and teaching as directed by the department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree or Master of Fine Arts in drama/theatre arts/performance (or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama/theater/performance and a Master’s degree in comparative literature, English, communication studies, speech, literature, or humanities.
• Possession of a lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential in Theatre Arts and Related Technologies and evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community‑college students, faculty, and staff.
• Equivalency claims must be supported by a complete statement, documentation, and transcripts.
