Job Number: 12-2021‑PP62  |  Salary: $82.33 – $115.20 per hour (Lecture: $102.90 or $107.87 with a doctorate; Lab: $82.33 or $86.30 with a doctorate)

Basic Functions

Provide quality instruction and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning, encourages free discussion of ideas, interests, and issues. Duties are related to curriculum and teaching, divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Adjunct faculty are required to be available to students outside of class.

Qualifications

• Meet the minimum qualifications for the discipline as approved by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and defined in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges handbook.
• Master’s degree in photography, fine arts, or art; or
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the above plus a Master’s in art history or humanities; or
• Equivalency, with an attached statement presenting the basis for the claim and supporting evidence such as transcripts.
• Evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.
