Job summary

College of Southern Nevada seeks an experienced Hospitality Management instructor to teach a range of courses across multiple campuses. You will deliver course material through lectures, demonstrations and practical applications, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.

The role requires travel to multiple CSN campuses, with a focus on maintaining current industry trends and engaging with local professional organizations. A relevant degree and teaching experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a Hospitality and/or Hotel environment.
• One year teaching experience.
• Be able to travel and teach at multiple campuses to meet departmental needs.
• Masters degree in related field from a regionally accredited college/university is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent teaching experience to our students, student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
• Assist in the promotion of Hospitality Management Programs.
• Participate in program/division meetings and activities as required.
• Keep abreast of current industry trends and participate in local professional organizations.

Job Description

To teach Hospitality Management classes which can include Introduction to Hospitality Management, Housekeeping Operations, Front-Office Operations, Hospitality Computer Operations, Hotel, Gaming and Gaming Law, Hospitality Services Management, Human Resources Management, Hospitality Marketing, Hospitality Career Development, and Hospitality Accounting courses with differing modes of instruction, lecture, demonstration and practical applications of course materials.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree in related field from a regionally accredited college/university.
• 5 years management experience in a major hotel.
• More than one year teaching experience in post-secondary hospitality program.+
