North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for Part-Time Instructors for Spring 2026 in the Construction Management program. The position is a temporary, part-time role teaching courses face-to-face and online as needed.

Position Overview

The Department of Built Environment invites applications forPart-Time Instructors for Spring 2026. Part-Time Instructors aretemporary employees hired on a semester-by-semester basis. The Part-Time Instructor will teach courses for the ConstructionManagement program.

The successful candidate is expected to teach introductory andadvanced level courses for the Construction Management program.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teachface-to-face and/or online, attend training and/or review sessions.Additional duties will include, but are not limited to, academicadvising, student organization support, participation in programdevelopment and assessment. The candidate will be expected to workcooperatively with faculty and staff in the department anduniversity.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Department of Built Environment supports over 175 undergraduatemajors in the programs of Construction Management, EnvironmentalHealth and Safety and, Geomatics. The courses taught in theGeomatics program area are at the undergraduate level and includeAutomated Surveying and Mapping, Residential Subdivision Design,Geodesy and Satellite Positioning.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering,Architectural Engineering or related discipline is required.

2 to 3 years of professional experience in architecture,engineering, and construction industries is required.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training,Education

Ph.D. in a related academic area is preferred.

Previous teaching experience in face-to-face or online environmentsin higher education settings is a plus.

Required License or Certification

Professional licensure in related disciplines will be a plus.
