Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. The ASU 1101 Instructor is responsible for delivering a high‑quality first‑year seminar experience that supports student engagement, academic success, and retention. This role includes teaching required course goals and learning outcomes, incorporating assigned focus‑area assignments, and collaborating with P3 mentors and learning community partners to enhance student learning. The instructor maintains consistent communication with students and colleagues, participates in required professional development and University College meetings, and monitors student progress through regular reporting and assessment. Through intentional instruction, structured grading practices, and proactive student support, the instructor fosters an engaging and accountable learning environment that promotes student success.
Salary is on a per‑course rate.
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Albany State University. Certain positions may also require the selected candidate to submit to or have a credit check completed for "Positions of Trust" and/or approved departmental purchase card usage, a motor vehicle report for positions that require driving an Albany State University vehicle, and a successful pre‑employment drug test.
