Job summary

Trailside Elementary is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional (Vineyard) for the resource room to support special needs students and assist in implementing instructional plans. This 4.5-hour/day role runs 8:30-1:00, Monday through Friday, in a non-contract capacity with lane-based pay options.

The role involves adapting activities, assisting with IEP/504 goals, and providing clerical support to teachers, with training opportunities in-district. Salary ranges from $15.69 to $16.70 per hour.

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete mandatory employeetraining within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials under teacher direction to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed to meet health care needs of students.
• Administers tests, homework and make-up work to support learning.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Assists students with self-care activities to maintain personal hygiene.
• Provides instruction to students in individual and small group settings to reinforce concepts and goals.
• Reports observations and incidents to supervising staff to inform progress and safety.
• Supervises and escorts students to/from classes for safe learning environments.
