Job summary

Alpine School District is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional - Elementary to support classroom instruction and student supervision. The role involves assisting in implementing plans for instruction and monitoring student behavior in non-classroom time.

The position is non-contract with no benefits, offering 5 hours per day at an hourly rate with lane progression depending on in-district training completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed by a health care professional for the purpose of meeting immediate health care needs of students.
• Administers tests, homework, make-up work, etc. for the purpose of supporting teachers in the classroom.
• Monitors students during assigned periods in a variety of school environments for the purpose of maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
• Performs a variety of clerical duties for the purpose of ensuring efficient operations.
