Summit BHC's Raleigh Recovery Center in Raleigh, NC seeks a Cook to implement menus and coordinate food preparation for clients, staff and visitors. The role ensures nutritious, appealing meals while following dietary guidelines and infection control practices.

You will plan daily cooking schedules, follow recipes, monitor temperatures, and maintain sanitation standards to deliver consistent, quality meals in a fast-paced facility setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years' experience in food service preparing food for institutions preferred.
• SERV Safe Certification or equivalent food safety certification required by state/facility.

Responsabilidades

• Plans and prepares foods according to facility policies and provided recipes/menus.
• Plans cooking schedule so meals for regular and therapeutic menus are ready on time.
• Follows recipes and portioning procedures for meats, entrees, vegetables and desserts.
• Maintains proper temperature logs and safe storage of foods.
• Sets up steam tables and labels food for modifications.
• Prepares leftovers with proper labeling and dating.
• Directs staff assisting in meal preparation and serving.
• Monitors food quality to preserve nutritional benefits.
• Records equipment and meal counts daily.
• Keeps kitchen clean, transports trash, and inspects equipment for cleanliness.
