Job summary

The Diocese of Greensburg is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our team. The Cook will handle preparation, cooking, serving, and proper storage of meals, while maintaining cleanliness and safety in kitchen and dining areas.

This role supports the Christ Our Shepherd Center and occasional special events, requires at least one year of institutional cooking experience, and offers approximately 25 hours per week in a supportive, service-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in institutional cooking or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with food and beverage purchasing, inventory, and proper storage.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-functioning kitchen and dining areas.
• Properly use, clean, and care for kitchen equipment and facilities.
• Assist with meal preparation and food service for special events and occasions.
• Provide food preparation and serving support at the Christ Our Shepherd Center as needed.
• Work cooperatively with staff to ensure smooth and efficient food service operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
