Job summary

Coastal Hospice Inc. in Ocean Pines, MD is seeking an Inpatient Unit RN to provide medical care to hospice patients in an inpatient setting, administer meds, assess and manage care, and coordinate discharge planning with families and providers.

Licensed RN in MD or a compact state is required; BSN preferred and CHPN certification within two years. The role involves weekend/holiday rotations and adherence to policies; hospice mission and patient-centered care are core.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, Delaware or other compact state.
• BSN from an accredited program preferred.
• CHPN certification expected within two (2) years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and Nursing Process.
• Administer medications and manage care in an inpatient hospice setting.
• Coordinate discharge planning with families and medical providers.
• Educate patients and families on self-care, hospice services, and consent/payor forms.
• Triages calls to identify patient/family needs and communicate with Admission Services.
• Maintain licenses and comply with continuing education requirements.
