Job summary

Hospice of the Chesapeake Inc. is seeking a compassionate RN for our Inpatient Care Center in Waldorf, MD. This part-time night shift position offers 2 twelve-hour shifts per week (7:00pm–7:30am) with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Maryland RN license or reciprocal out-of-state license; CHPN certification preferred.
• 2+ years nursing experience in med/surg or home care; hospice or end-of-life experience preferred.
• Hospice certification (CHP) preferred.
• Strong ability to document in an EMR; valid driver’s license.
• Vaccination against influenza and TB screening on hire and annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per hospice plan of care, ensuring treatments, medications, and diet as tolerated.
• Identify and communicate patient problems; set measurable goals with interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with patient/family on care plan and discharge planning as needed.
• Complete all electronic documentation at point of care.
• Assist field teams when needed.
