Job summary

ITW in Hebron, CT seeks a skilled technician to set up injection molding machines, adjust molds, and perform maintenance to ensure quality output. You will troubleshoot process issues and work with teams to keep lines running efficiently.

The role requires problem solving, mechanical aptitude, and ability to adapt to a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends. Prior robotics/automation exposure is a plus; you should bring basic hand tools for the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in plastic injection molding manufacturing.
• Basic problem solving and processing skills in molding and automation.
• Understanding of injection molding machines and robotics preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including overtime/weekends.
• Must provide basic tools (Allen wrenches, sockets, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Set up injection molding machines with correct parameters for parts.
• Set molds and dies to meet schedule; keep workspace clean and organized.
• Perform mold cleaning and preventive maintenance on machines.
• Troubleshoot short shots, flash, burns to maintain quality.
• Operate molding machinery and support equipment; adjust/maintain automated tools.
• Collaborate with setup technicians and operators; stop process for quality concerns.
• Document changes and track spare parts usage; train new/current technicians.
