The Mold Technician at ITW Deltar Fasteners in Frankfort, KY will set up and operate plastic injection molding machines and related equipment, adjusting processes to ensure quality parts. You’ll handle mold installation, equipment setup, and solve process issues to maintain product integrity.

Ideal candidates have a mold technician apprenticeship or equivalent, 1.5+ years in injection molding, ability to lift 55 lbs, and strong hands-on skills with tooling and measurement.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mold Technician Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Routsis Training Program or equivalent.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Lift 55 lbs.
• 1.5+ years of technical experience with plastic injection molding.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• MS Office skills are a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• 3–5 years of Mold Technician experience preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with hands-on skills.
• Able to operate overhead crane and hoist.

Responsabilidades

• Install molds in the injection molding machine and adjust cycles.
• Set up assembly and auxiliary equipment for packaging.
• Ensure part/material containment measures.
• Maintain part quality and process parameters.
• Troubleshoot molding problems (flash, short shots).
• Conduct root-cause analysis of product quality issues.
• Identify continuous improvement ideas and 5S.
• Disassemble and assemble mud bases.
• Use calipers, gauges, hand tools, pallet jacks, and cranes.
• Follow safety rules and keep area clean.
