Job summary

igus Inc. is seeking an Injection Molding Technician to join our Rhode Island manufacturing team. You will operate, set up, and optimize injection molding machines and tooling to ensure safe, efficient production and high-quality parts.

Responsibilities include running robots and handling systems, setting process parameters, and compiling documentation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with injection molding, automation, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Experience in injection molding and plastics manufacturing.
Ability to develop and optimize injection molding processes and parameters.
Experience with industrial robots including six-axis systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, process, tooling, and equipment issues.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate injection molding machines, molds, robots, and material handling systems.
Develop, monitor, and optimize machine and process parameters; adjust temperature, pressure, and cycle times.
Install and remove injection molds using cranes following safety procedures.
Perform start-ups, shutdowns, sampling, and process changes.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine, tooling, and process issues to maximize uptime.
Train employees on processes, equipment, and work instructions.
Create and maintain production and process documentation.
