Job summary

NC Community Colleges seeks a part-time instructor to teach courses in industrial, mechanical and electrical technologies at the Main Campus. You will organize courses, develop materials, and ensure adherence to departmental guidelines.

The role requires an Associate Degree in a relevant field, with 3–5 years of related experience; other technical degrees may be considered to supplement expertise. The position operates Monday through Friday, with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in other technical programs will be considered.
• Three to five years of experience in the field that relates to the instructional assignment is also required.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned day or night classes related to industrial, mechanical and/or electrical technologies.
• Organize a semester course following departmental guidelines, create course materials (tests, handouts, lectures, slides, assignments, rubrics, activities).
• Set up Moodle materials (gradebook, notes, assignments) and publisher platforms if necessary.
• Maintain attendance and progress reports, communicate with students and supervisors via email, submit grades and attendance reports.
• Assist students registered with the Office of Accessibility and be reachable to supervisors by phone.
