Job summary

The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College is seeking part-time instructors (adjunct faculty) to teach in our Industrial Machinery, Industrial Automation and Maintenance, and related technical programs at multiple locations, including our main campus (Rio Grande) as well as our centers in Jackson, McArthur, and Pomeroy, OH.

Instructors may be assigned courses across these programs based on individual qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field AND 1-3 years of practical/industry experience; OR a minimum of 5 years of documented, relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree (e.g., journeyman status, industry certifications such as NIMS or Fanuc certification, OSHA credentials, AWS welding certification, or equivalent trade licensure)
• Bachelor's degree in a related area and prior teaching experience preferred
• Relevant industry credentials strongly encouraged and considered as part of qualification review, including but not limited to: licensed electrician or journeyman card (electrical/controls courses), Fanuc certification (CNC), AWS or equivalent welding certification (welding courses), rigging certification (Rigging), or equivalent manufacturer/trade credentials aligned to the course area(s) of interest

Responsibilities

• Teach in Industrial Machinery, Industrial Automation and Maintenance programs at Rio Grande campuses and centers in OH
• Instructors may be assigned courses based on qualifications and experience
• In-person instruction; assignments matched to each instructor's trade background and experience
• Course examples include Basic Electricity/Electronics, Mechanical Skills, CNC, CAD, Welding, Robotics
