Job summary

Davidson County seeks an Income Maintenance II to determine eligibility for the Food & Nutrition Services, Medicaid, Work First, and related programs. This part-time role oversees intake, applicant processing, and ongoing case maintenance for clients in need, with emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.

As a part-time position up to 20 hours per week, the role involves client contact via phone, in person, fax, email or mail under supervision and requires strong documentation and data-entry

Qualifications

• Must have thorough knowledge of the Food & Nutrition Services Policy.
• Must have thorough knowledge of the Medicaid Policy.
• Must be proficient with NCFAST, Compass and One Case.
• Must have good interviewing and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to analyze information and determine eligibility accurately.

Responsibilities

• Receives applications for Food & Nutrition Services, Medicaid, Work First, and related programs.
• Interviews applicants to determine eligibility and collects necessary documentation.
• Maintains and updates client case files; performs eligibility redeterminations.
• Uses NCFAST, Compass and One Case to enter and retrieve information; assists with referrals.
