Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College – Evansville Campus is seeking part-time, in-person tutors for afternoons and early evenings. Flexible schedule up to 15 hours/week, Monday–Thursday, on the Evansville, IN campus.

Tutors comfortable with 100/200 level courses in technology, humanities, or sciences are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include demonstrating the learning process, promoting the tutoring program, tracking hours, collaborating with staff, and supporting Learning Resource Center

Qualifications

• In-person instructional capability at Evansville, IN campus.
• Ability to communicate clearly and adapt to diverse learners.
• Must meet campus eligibility: allowed to tutor and work as adjunct on campus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the learning process and show alternative methods.
• Promote the tutoring program to students and faculty.
• Maintain a welcoming, positive attitude toward learners.
• Accurately track tutoring hours and attendance.
• Collaborate effectively with staff and support library services.
