Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana is seeking part-time peer tutors to join the Learning Commons team. You will use available resources to support student learning in courses supported by the LC and help ensure a high-quality tutoring experience.

The role is intended for currently enrolled Ivy Tech students; you will manage tutor traffic, collaborate with learners on content domains, and continue expanding your credentials. A pre-employment background check is required.

Qualifications

• Support student learning of content in supported courses.
• Manage Learning Commons student traffic for sections tutor is certified to teach.
• Collaborate with students on content domains through active learning and mindful messaging.
• Respond to inquiries and provide information as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be an active partner on a student tutor team of the Learning Commons (LC).
• Use resources to support student learning of content in supported courses.
• Manage LC traffic and ensure high-quality user experience for peer clients.
• Continue to expand tutor credentials and participate in auxiliary activities as time allows.
