Job summary

Pellissippi State Community College in Tennessee is seeking an adjunct instructor of Mathematics to provide quality in-person instruction, utilizing lectures and laboratory work to enhance student learning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics or Statistics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and syllabi.
• Supervise the study and learning activities of students assigned.
• Submit requests for equipment, supplies, textbooks and other instructional aids through department leadership.
• Evaluate the academic progress of students.
• Demonstrate knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures per Adjunct Faculty Handbook.
• Submit course grades and perform other administrative duties as required.
• Schedule two office hours with contingency plans if office hours cannot be scheduled; not paid during summer session.
