Job summary

The Tennessee Board of Regents in Nashville seeks an Instructor of Mathematics for the 9/10 month term to deliver quality instruction. You will teach on-ground at the assigned campus and may teach online or hybrid sections, using the college LMS and preparing updated syllabi.

Requires a Master’s degree in Mathematics (or a Master’s with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics) and collegiate teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Mathematics (OR) Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to teach upper-level mathematics courses.
Collegiate level teaching experience.
Demonstrated commitment to equity and accessibility.

Responsibilities

Teach courses on-ground at the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
Other instructional delivery modes, such as online, hybrid or web-enhanced, may be assigned based on operational needs.
Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
Submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class.
Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend.
Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by deadlines.
Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities.
Submit final grades each semester by registrar deadlines.
Work with students as academic advisor as assigned.
Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
