Job summary

Chattanooga State is seeking an Adjunct Faculty – Mathematics for the Chattanooga State Campus. Under supervision, adjuncts teach college-level and learning support classes in day or evening formats across multiple locations, including off-campus sites.

Responsibilities include record-keeping, grading, and progress communication to students and college personnel. Requirements include a Master’s in Mathematics or Statistics (or 18 graduate hours in math) and a commitment to teaching excellence.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Mathematics or Statistics from a regionally accredited institution.
• Or a Master’s in another field with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics/Statistics.
• Preferred: college or K–12 teaching experience and hybrid/online delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conducting classes using appropriate instructional practices.
• Maintaining accurate attendance records.
• Evaluating student performance on assignments.
• Monitoring and communicating progress to students and college personnel.
• Assigning midterm and final grades.
• Completing required training.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
