Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks motivated instructional assistants to support teaching within the College of Theology. This part-time, in-person role on the Main Campus in Phoenix involves tutoring, classroom assistance, and collaboration with faculty to enhance student learning.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and coursework in Theology/Ministry/Divinity, strong communication, and prior instructional support experience. Schedule is up to 10 hours per week and varies by course.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly with students and faculty.
• Experience tutoring or supporting instruction in higher education is preferred.
• Ability to assist with classroom activities and student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with faculty to support classroom instruction and student engagement.
• Assist with lesson preparation, grading, and classroom facilitation.
• Hold weekly office hours to provide tutoring and academic support.
• Reinforce course concepts through one-on-one and group assistance.
• Support classroom management and proctor examinations.
• Observe and report student progress to faculty.
• Facilitate review sessions and supplemental instruction opportunities.
• Help create a collaborative and encouraging learning environment.
