Grand Canyon University is seeking motivated, knowledgeable, and student-focused individuals to support learning excellence within the College of Natural Sciences. This is a face-to-face, part-time opportunity located on GCU’s Main Campus in Phoenix, Arizona.

As an Instructional Assistant, you will mentor students, collaborate with faculty, and gain valuable instructional experience while helping shape the next generation of professionals and innovators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed from an accredited institution.
• Must reside in Arizona and be able to work in person on GCU's Main Campus.
• Strong communication and classroom support skills.
• Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or instructional support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with faculty to support classroom instruction and student engagement.
• Assist with lesson preparation, grading, and classroom facilitation.
• Hold weekly office hours to provide tutoring and academic support.
• Reinforce course concepts through one-on-one and group assistance.
• Support classroom management and proctor examinations.
• Observe and report student progress to faculty.
• Facilitate review sessions and supplemental instruction opportunities.
• Help create a collaborative and encouraging learning environment.
