Job summary

Owen Health Care Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Individual Support Worker to assist behavioral therapists in creating programs for children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will visit homes to implement plans and document progress.

The position emphasizes strong communication with families, collaboration with professionals, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment. A college degree with related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree with one year of experience or a high school diploma/GED plus at least three years of supervised experience in positive behavior support.
• Experience teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently following established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized service plans and behavioral therapy programs in home and community settings.
• Provide behavioral interventions and monitor youth with behavioral challenges.
• Document observations and modify activities to meet therapeutic goals.
• Develop engaging recreational activities to support emotional and social growth.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment for the youth.
