Job summary

Family of Kidz seeks a Special Educator to deliver individualized lessons in home and community settings across Suffolk County, NY. You will design multi-sensory activities aligned to IEP goals and track student progress with regular data reporting, while coordinating with supervisors and school teams.

Ideal candidates hold NYS Certification SWD and have at least 1 year of relevant experience; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification SWD (1-6,5-9,7-12, all grades or Permanent) is required or preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and families in home or community settings.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in the home and community setting to provide individualized lessons targeting IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons based on IEP goals to engage learners of varying abilities.
• Collect meaningful data on IEP goals and report quarterly on progress.
• Maintain communication with lead supervisors and school team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to stay current with best practices.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend CSE meetings.
