Job summary

Family of Kidz in Suffolk County, NY is seeking a dedicated Special Educator to support students in home and community settings with IEP goals. Roles can be part-time or fee-for-service, with potential for full-time, typically afternoons and evenings, following the school calendar.

You will develop creative, multi-sensory lessons, track progress with data reports, maintain communication with supervisors, and handle daily attendance and billing.

Qualifications

• NYS Certification SWD required or permanent status.
• Minimum 1 year experience in settings supporting children and families preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in home/community to meet IEP goals with individualized lessons.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons based on IEP goals.
• Collect data on IEP goals and report progress quarterly.
• Communicate with lead supervisors and school team.
• Maintain attendance records and submit billing daily.
• Attend CSE meetings and participate in professional development.
