Job summary

Family of Kidz in Nassau County, NY is seeking a Special Educator to work with students in home and community settings, delivering IEP-aligned lessons and multi-sensory activities to support diverse learners.

You will collect meaningful data on IEP goals, report progress quarterly, and maintain ongoing communication with supervising staff and school teams while adapting to a flexible schedule. This is a part-time role with potential for full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS Certification in SWD (1-6, 5-9, 7-12, all grades, or Permanent).
• Minimum of 1 year experience supporting children and families preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in the home and community to deliver individualized lessons aligned to IEP goals.
• Create creative, multi-sensory lessons based on IEP goals for diverse abilities.
• Collect data on IEP goals and report quarterly on progress.
• Communicate with lead supervisors and school team.
• Maintain attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend CSE meetings.
