Job summary

REM Community Services, a part of Sevita, is seeking a caregiver for evenings and weekends to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily living and community activities. You will assist with personal care and help participants reach daily goals in a compassionate, patient-driven environment.

A high school diploma and six months in human services are preferred; a valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and support those with behavioral or complex needs.
• Help participants be part of the community and enjoy their activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Provide compassionate, patient care and follow leaders' direction to ensure participant wellbeing.
