Job summary

REM Community Services, part of Sevita, is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings. The role emphasizes personal hygiene assistance and behavior support with a focus on fostering independence and fulfilling activities.

The position is part-time, paying $16 per hour, with a schedule of Monday and Tuesday 2:30pm–10pm and every other Saturday and Sunday 8am–10pm; female candidates only are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with their personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise and nutrition.
• Encourage participation in community activities and meaningful routines.
• Provide compassionate, patient care tailored to individual needs.
