Job summary

Achievement Behavior Services (ABS) seeks a part-time Behavior Technician to support children with ASD in their home environments in New Jersey. You will work one-on-one with supervision from a BCBA, implementing BIP-driven ABA strategies and collecting data to track progress.

We offer after-school hours, potential weekend work, and opportunities to pursue RBT credentials, with training and supervision provided to ensure professional growth and reliability.

Qualifications

• Applied Behavior Analysis, psychology, Special education, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology.
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certificate preferred.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills.
• Adaptability and decisiveness under high-stress situations.
• Professional administrative reliability: punctuality and responsiveness.
• Experience with pre-school and elementary school-aged children.
• Experience with autism and development issues.
• New York State qualifications or equivalents.
• Intuitive, compassionate, person-centered approaches.
• Experience documenting progress notes and data aligned with treatment plans.
• Structured and creative play skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage in rapport building and using ABA approaches to help a student communicate needs.
• Measure, assess, and document skill acquisition per the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).
• 1:1 goal-oriented, in-home direct service work applying ABA techniques.
• Thorough session-to-session documentation, data analysis, and billing.
• Collaborate with BCBA supervisor(s) for professional feedback.
• Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, supervisors, and coworkers.
