Northwest Health La Porte is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the IMCU unit. This part-time night shift role supports RN/LPN staff by assisting with daily patient care, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe care environment.

The ideal candidate has 0-2 years in an acute care setting, possesses basic patient care knowledge, and is enrolled in a nursing program or CNA certified. BCLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in acute care preferred.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA certification preferred or currently enrolled in nursing program.

Responsabilités

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Record vital signs and intake/output, report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Help with daily activities: meals, bathing, grooming, mobility, hygiene.
• Support patients with positioning, mobility aids, and catheter care.
• Collect samples and monitor glucose; document results.
