Job summary

Northwest Health Porte is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Services department during overnight shifts. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, data collection, and ensuring a safe, organized environment under RN/LPN supervision.

The position requires 0-2 years in acute care or current enrollment in a nursing program, with BCLS certification within 90 days of hire and CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care services and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and other patient data to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, personal care, grooming, and mobility.
• Support positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect specimens and perform basic glucose monitoring as directed and report results to the care team.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team; adapt to changes.
