Qualifications

• IBCLC certification and BCLS/NRP/NALS competencies.

• Ability to adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized lactation care and support for breastfeeding dyads.
• Educate parents on latch, positioning, milk expression, and pumping.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Attend deliveries or cesarean sections to initiate lactation support.
• Document patient interactions and care plans in compliance with standards.
• Provide discharge planning resources and continued lactation support.
