Job summary

Wave Aquatics is seeking a part-time Human Resources Specialist to manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruiting and hiring through onboarding, performance support, and recordkeeping. This role will implement recruitment processes for multiple positions and help maintain Wave’s HRIS.

The Specialist will support a multi-site staff mix, with 20-30 full-time and seasonal ~100 part-time employees. Expect 15-20 hours per week, 3–5 days, and 2 afternoons for student candidates.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in human resources, including recruitment and HRIS administration.

Responsibilities

• Implement recruitment processes for all positions, from posting through offer.
• Conduct interviews and support hiring managers through the interview process.
• Perform background and reference checks for candidates and employees.
• Coordinate with managers to identify staffing needs and select qualified candidates.
• Support onboarding of new staff and ensure a welcoming start to employment.
• Maintain Wave’s HRIS and keep employee profiles current and compliant.
• Support staff performance review processes and pay raise eligibility.
• Assist with benefits administration for staff.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and HR consultant to create and enforce HR policies.
• Support training, recognition and wellness initiatives for staff.
