Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Human Resources Intern to support employee relations, HR operations, and compliance while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate environment. You will assist with onboarding and offboarding, maintain personnel records in Dayforce, help with HR reporting, and participate in engagement activities.

This part-time, non-exempt role offers learning, mentorship, and exposure to core HR processes within a growing manufacturing

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
• Strong interest in HR operations, employee relations, and compliance
• Must display discretion to sensitive data
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail with ability to handle confidential information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Prior administrative or internship experience preferred
• Familiarity with HRIS systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating orientation sessions
• Update employee records in Dayforce, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Help ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and labor regulations
• Assist with maintaining personnel files and HR documentation in accordance with legal requirements
• Coordinate and assist with employee engagement activities and internal events
• Generate HR reports and assist with data analysis
• Contribute to process improvement projects to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team
• Related tasks as requested by manager
