Job summary

Guardian Light Family Services seeks a part-time HR Generalist to support daily HR operations with accuracy and follow-through. The role averages about 20 hours weekly (15–30 hours possible) with daytime availability for communications; after training, much work can be done remotely, reporting to the HR Director and team.

The ideal candidate will excel at tracking trainings, credentials, personnel files, and verifications while maintaining confidentiality and timely records.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail with strong tracking, monitoring, and follow-up.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and HR files securely.
• Ability to work independently in a remote or isolated environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Tracking employee and contractual requirements, including trainings, credentials, vehicle documentation, and other required items.
• Completing employee setup, status changes, State of Nebraska reporting, and HR system updates.
• Reviewing and auditing HR systems and personnel files for accuracy and completeness.
• Assisting with pre-employment and background-check verification.
• Contacting previous employers to complete required employment verification.
• Identifying missing documentation or incomplete requirements and following up.
• Maintaining accurate and timely personnel records.
• Assisting with employee evaluations, monthly reporting, and audit preparation.
• Responding professionally to employee and supervisor questions.
• Completing additional HR administrative duties as assigned.
